Welcome to Third Grade!
Dear Grade Parents and Families,
Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Rhea Juarez. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this school year, and I am very grateful to be part of the St. Felicitas community! My journey as an educator began when I taught in a Montessori preschool many years ago, where I discovered my passion for teaching and being a part of a child’s learning. I have been blessed with the opportunity to have worked with multiple age levels and in diverse educational settings. For more than five years, I was the Kindergarten Head Teacher at a Montessori school in Fremont. I have also taught at a Montessori charter school in Hayward from 1st through 5th grades. During my student teaching year, I taught a 4th Grade bilingual Spanish class. This is my fourth year here at St. Felicitas. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science at California State East Bay, where I earned my Preliminary Multiple Subject Credential. I love traveling and learning about other cultures and languages. I speak Spanish and Tagalog, and I would someday like to learn Italian and Mandarin! I am passionate about literature and art, which is something that I would love to pass on to my students. It is my philosophy as a teacher that students learn best by doing. I believe in a growth mindset, and I guide my students towards fulfilling their potential by recognizing effort, progress, and their process of learning. It is my goal to create many opportunities to engage students through hands-on learning and collaboration. I am a firm believer that teachers and parents are partners in a child’s education, so it is my goal to build open communication between us. Open communication between teachers and parents is the key to each student’s success. Please feel free to email me at rjuarez@csdo.org if you have any questions, concerns, or would just like to chat! I look forward to a wonderful school year with all of you! Warm Regards, Mrs. Rhea Juarez |
